Yannick, stage name Yankity also known as Tara, is a Cameroonian Rapper, Singer, and Songwriter born on February 11 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He grew up between Yaoundé and Kumbo in the North West Region, and hails from the Noni community.
A versatile artist, Yankity performs fluently across English, French, Noni, and Camfranglais — weaving languages as naturally as he weaves rap and melody. His sound is minimalistic yet emotionally expansive, built on authentic storytelling and a signature duality between rap and singing.
Having studied Law at the University of Buea — earning an LLB — Yankity brings a disciplined, structured mind to his artistry. Every lyric is intentional. Every transition deliberate.
Career & Education
Yankity's educational background is a graduate of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, Nigeria, where he obtained a BL in law. His achievements, such as his professional life, contrast with his music career. He has been backed by his professional network in an interview Issue of the Paradigm, a quarterly publication of the International Society of Primerus Law Firms headquartered in MI, the USA.
YANKITY's interview with BRIAN COX stated on the Paradigm:

Early Life and Education
YANKITY also known as TARA, grew up partly in Yaoundé and mostly in Kumbo, in the North West Region of Cameroon, originating from NONI.
Academically, Yankity attended the all-boys School of Saint Aloysius Minor Seminary, Kumbo, where he excelled academically in school and later proceeded to the University of Buea, where he studied and obtained an LLB in law.
"Music composition for me started at the age of 12 while in my primes at the Minor Seminary. Secret Music was the foundation with Reverend Father Marcel. We were taught music sol-fa notations, composition, instrumentals, and music transposition, which over the years has inspired me to intertwine that experience into contemporary musical rhymes said Yankity."
